CTRI Expands Community Health Access Through Screening Services at the Whispering Fountains Resource Event

The Community Translational Research Institute (CTRI) participated in the Whispering Fountains Resource Event held on August 7 in Riverside, California, where the institute provided community-based health screenings and referral support as part of its ongoing commitment to advancing population health through translational practice. The event brought together local residents to access essential services such as blood pressure and blood glucose screenings, dental resources, autism guidance, low-income assistance, and medical support. CTRI’s presence reinforced its role as a community-facing health partner dedicated to preventing chronic disease, improving health outcomes, and connecting individuals to appropriate care pathways. Consistent with its mission as a California nonprofit collaborating with multiple organizations to transform population health practices, CTRI delivered free, accessible health and wellness services within a trusted community setting.

Through initiatives such as this resource event, CTRI continues to operationalize translational research by providing physical and socio-emotional screenings, identifying individuals with elevated risk factors, and facilitating referrals to programs including diabetes prevention, nutrition education, mental health services, physical exercise, addiction programming, and health and wellness coaching.
